beep™ QR Tickets now available in PayMaya
AF Payments Inc (AFPI) continues to build on its cashless fare payment ecosystem with its growing partnership with PayMaya. Using the PayMaya mobile app, commuters can purchase beep™ QR tickets that can be used for public transportation, such as buses, that accept QR payments.
How to purchase beep™ QR tickets using PayMaya
- Open PayMaya App
- Click on ‘Travel’ icon
- Choose Operator and Route
- Choose the Origin and Destination
- Check ticket amount and confirm payment
- Wait for the QR code which is only valid for 24 hours
- Share or save QR code on your device
Currently, beep™ QR tickets can be used in BGC Buses in Taguig. Passengers must simply scan the QR ticket from their mobile device on the QR validators found at EDSA McKinley and Market! Market! terminals. (Passengers are advised to use the QR ticket within the day as these are only valid for single use within 24 hours upon purchase.) Once the ticket has been validated, the passenger can proceed to board the bus.
For more information, please visit the PayMaya page.
beep™ cardholders can still continue to use their card for cashless fare payments in BGC buses. These can also be loaded using the PayMaya app – just go to “Load”, select “Others”, and choose your desired beep™ load amount. To update the beep™ card load balance, visit a beep™ e-load station located at LRT1, LRT2, and MRT3 stations, as well as in P2P terminals, and select EDSA bus stops.
